I took a hike up to Bearwallow recently which in just east of Asheville.
On my down from the grassy bald mountain, I saw a cotton candy palette of soft colors emerge right after sunset. The moon had risen as well but was barely visible, poking through the puffy clouds. I noticed a young couple enjoying the sight as well. They were taking photos with their cellphone with big smiles on their face.
I love the framing on this shot as the huge, big beautiful sky dwarfs all below it. What a sight.
